42 Children Murdered by Wild Bears

It’s difficult to imagine a story more qualified to shock and horrify than one involving the violent death of children,  but a more shocking story has been found: The deserving violent death of children.

The harrowing but entirely justified atrocity took place when a gentleman by the name of Elisha was on his way to the City of Bethel. As he passed by he was mocked, ruthlessly, by vicious children.

“…there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.”

Elisha was naturally quite upset but, unbeknownst to the little tykes, he wasn’t as defensless as he seemed…

“And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD.”

Now the LORD, being an all merciful, all loving God obviously had a balanced, thoughtful response perfectly suited to the children’s unkind misdemeanor:

“And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.”

Way to go God! Definately insanely vicious and kinda surreal balanced and thoughtful. It does make me wonder if there’d be less backchat and tantrums from teenagers and toddlers if we all had wild bears to attack them with but I guess that’s why we have prayer.

Oh, and the happy end to the story?

“And he (Elisha) went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.”
